As a centre of pilgrimage and a registered charity, our income is reliant on the generosity of our pilgrims and visitors and the money raised through offerings and appeals. These donations make a real difference to the life of the Shrine and the pastoral care we are able to deliver.
The statues that grace the Shrine church and gardens have stood as silent witnesses to countless moments of faith, hope, and community over the years. Some of them however, have begun to show the wear and tear of time, losing some of their original beauty and lustre.
The Shrine is looking to restore some of these in order to preserve them for future pilgrims and also to honor the rich history they represent.
Below there is information about some of statues that are desperately in need of restoration and the cost of the work. If you are able to make a donation of any size, however great or small we would be very grateful. Your generous donation will play a crucial role in ensuring that they continue to inspire and uplift the hearts of all who visit the Shrine. You can find the donation button at the bottom of this page.
If you would like to pay for the full restoration of something in particular, please do get in touch with Caroline Ward, the Director of Engagement and Education by emailing engage@olw-shrine.org.uk
